Marianne Williamson Calls out Apple News

Update: As of Tuesday, September 26, Marianne Williamson has been added to Apple News’ Election 2024 list.

Sunday, September 24, Marianne Williamson posted on X calling out Apple News on their exclusion of her in their Election 2024 page. The post comes in response to @sir_slytherin’s post reading, “Dang… @applenews did @marwilliamson real dirty. She isn’t even an option to follow on their #Election2024 page. The #DNC is a powerful machine.”

Williamson responds to the original post, “Dear @applenews I am polling higher than the majority of candidates listed on your candidate tracker. Please correct your list to reflect the reality of the race? It is the job of the voters – not the media – to vet candidates.”

The list currently includes democratic nominees current President Joe Biden, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., as well as republican nominees Doug Burgum, Chris Christie, Ron DeSantis, Nikki Haley, Mike Pence, Vivek Ramaswamy, Tim Scott, and former President Donald Trump.

Marianne Williamson is an American author, spiritual teacher, and former Democratic presidential candidate. Born on July 8, 1952, in Houston, Texas, she gained prominence for her inspirational and self-help books, including “A Return to Love.” Williamson has been a proponent of spiritual and metaphysical ideas, emphasizing the power of love and compassion as transformative forces in both personal and societal contexts.

In addition to her writing, Marianne Williamson has been involved in various humanitarian and social justice efforts. She founded Project Angel Food, a nonprofit organization that provides meals for people with serious illnesses, and has worked on issues such as poverty, AIDS, and peacebuilding.
